n international group of clinicians working in the field of dysmorphology has initiated the standardization of terms used to describe human morphology. The goals are to standardize these terms and reach consensus regarding their definitions. In this way, we will increase the utility of descriptions of the human phenotype and facilitate reliable comparisons of findings among patients. The GESIS Controlled Vocabulary (CV) browser provides thesauri, terminologies and classifications offered by GESIS for browsing and downloading.

The GESIS Knowledge Graph Ontology is used to build the GESIS Knowledge Graph (GESIS KG) which provides a FAIR-compliant semantic representation of scholarly metadata from the social sciences available in the GESIS Search.

The Thesaurus for the Social Sciences (TheSoz) contains about 12,000 entries, of which more than 8,000 are descriptors (authorized keywords) and about 6,000 non-descriptors. The internationalizatio (i18n) namespace is used for describing combinations of language tag and base direction in RDF literals. It is used as an alternative mechanism for describing the BCP47 language tag and base direction of RDF literals that would otherwise use the xsd:string or rdf:langString datatypes.

In many areas of scholarly work, controlled vocabularies (gazetteers, thesauri, etc.) play a crucial role as a stable reference in the creation of resources as well as for ensuring interoperability between disparate projects and their data. The ILC4CLARIN vocabulary platform provides services and tools that allow for the collaborative maintenance and publication of vocabularies and taxonomies of any kind. The ILC4CLARIN vocabulary platform is based on the open-source Skosmos software which uses SKOS as its underlying data model. This software allows for the browsing of vocabularies with structured concept displays and the visualisation of concept hierarchies. Vocabularies can be queried via a search interface or by consulting an alphabetical or thematic index. With the ILC4CLARIN vocabulary platform they can also be accessed via a REST-API. This platform was conceived as a vocabulary hosting service for partners of the national CLARIN-IT consortium, H2IOSC project, and is intended to contribute to the future federation of vocabulary platforms within the SSH Open Cluster. The Thesaurus for Graphic Materials is a tool for indexing visual materials by subject and by genre/format. The thesaurus includes more than 7,000 subject terms and 650 genre/format terms to index types of photographs, prints, design drawings, ephemera, and other pictures. In 2007, the subject and genre/format vocabularies, previously maintained separately, were merged into a single list and migrated to new software, MultiTes. New terms are added regularly.
